Valley View
Valley Creek in Farmington lives like a Scandinavian lodge in the woods with all of the amenities of close to town living. The home is constructed with vaulted ceilings, light finish millwork, crisp clean lines, and an apportionment of space that really speaks to the way we live. There is extensive use of both hardwoods of contrasting colors and softwoods to give a welcoming feel to all of the spaces in the home. A masonry fireplace with exposed steel tube flue is a main design element of the residence. The placement of the building is such that the windows allow floods of light, and the outdoor living spaces provide views that are the most interesting to the site. The architect is unknown, and the home has enjoyed very few owners since it was constructed in 1988.
